RuNCouragers is a group of self-supported runners based on Thane City... Running together for a healthy lifestyle with a mission to encourage more number of people to come out from their comfort zone.. a couch/bed to run as fun... Helping them for pursuing running injury free !!
We run as group at various location of Thane city. Normally we run 3 Days (Wednesday, Thursday & Sunday) in a week as group. We run medium distance (5 KM to 10 KM) on weekdays. On Every Sunday we organize a drill run for our group members, which is a long distance run (normally greater than 10 KM). In our drill run we try to run with the pace of our slowest and newly joined members to encourage them. We also organise non running cross training, Yoga Sessions, trekking, interactive sessions with experts of various fields like physiotherapy / nutrition, and knowledge sharing session with experienced runners.
Besides these regular group running, we organize two more events -
Our MONTHLY TRAINING RUN is being organized by the group members on second Sunday (Sunday after second Saturday) of the month. It is to help runner for long distance running like Full-Marathons / Half-Marathons. It is 10/20 Miler distance running with enroute hydration support and post run breakfast. Group Members participates as volunteers for arrangements. Participation is on contribution basis for arrangements. Registration is mandatory for participation and it is open for any interested runner.
We organise our anniversary run once in a year to promote running between people. Announcement of the same is done separately with registration procedure.
